I'm living my dream job as an Old Testament professor at a small university in the middle of the country. I'm also a Ph.D. student at the University of Manchester, where I wonder how long I can continue fooling people into believing that I actually know things. I am passionate about making the Old Testament seem less weird and proclaiming God’s truth to his people. My love for story, art, and ideas have fueled my careers as a college professor, teaching pastor, and children’s pastor.
My insomnia has made me an avid reader. I read an average of 100+ books each year. I also have an obsession with baking pies, because: pie. Consequently, these are two of the areas in my life where I actually see progress.
My husband, Aaron, is my partner in all things fun and makes me laugh an amount that far exceeds the national average.
For those of you who are into this sort of thing: I make up the 0.8% of women who are an INTJ and am an Enneagram 1 (Reformer). My 5 strengths are Relator, Ideation, Intellection, Achiever, and Input.
